Job summary

AAA Northeast is seeking a Roadside Service Tech (Flatbed) in Rhode Island. The role ensures safe, efficient roadside assistance for AAA members, including jump starts, tire changes, minor mechanical help, and towing when needed.

The technician must handle emergency situations calmly and educate members on services while maintaining AAA’s high service standards. Compensation starts at $22.00–$24.75 per hour with shift differentials and opportunities for bonuses.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity with electrical troubleshooting required.
• Active and valid driver’s license issued by one state or jurisdiction required.
• DOT card pre-hire and as a current employee within 1 year required.

Responsibilities

• Respond to Dispatch or members with ETA to destination.
• Provide safe, professional roadside assistance and light mechanical services.
• Tow or transport vehicles as per policy; promote AAA products and services.
• Maintain vehicle and equipment in safe working order; ensure customer satisfaction.
