Job summary

AAA Northeast is seeking a Roadside Service Tech Flatbed in Rhode Island. You will provide roadside assistance, perform minor mechanical tasks, and tow when needed, ensuring member safety and satisfaction.

The role emphasizes safe operations, professional image, and promoting AAA services while handling diverse calls. The position requires a high school diploma or GED, 21+ years old, automotive/mechanical training, a valid state driver’s license, and a DOT card.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Post-secondary training in automotive mechanics and familiarity of electrical troubleshooting required.
• Active and valid driver’s license issued by only one state or jurisdiction required.
• DOT card pre-hire and as a current employee within 1 year required.
• Satisfactorily pass motor vehicle record check during pre-hire screening and periodically during employment.

Responsibilities

• Respond to member requests and provide safe roadside assistance within ETA.
• Perform minor mechanical tasks and towing when needed, following safety procedures.
• Promote AAA products and services and maintain vehicle and equipment in safe condition.
• Work independently, cover a 24/7 shift schedule, and handle high-pressure situations.
• Educate members and ensure secure, positive member experiences.
