Job summary

BRYAN TRUCK LINE is seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to join our flatbed team, transporting brass & copper rod on a flatbed trailer with tarps and side kits. This role pays a percentage of the load and requires a strong commitment to safety, punctuality, and customer service, as you will be the face of our company during deliveries.

Responsibilities include operating trucks, performing pre-trip inspections, loading/unloading with proper securement, and maintaining delivery records.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license with 1 year driving experience.
• Ability to operate manual transmission.
• Experience with flatbed trailers and tarps.
• Knowledge of load securement and safety regulations.
• Willingness to relocate to Montpelier, OH 43543.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck and pull flatbed trailers, with side-kits and tarps.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of goods, strapping and securement.
• Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
• Communicate effectively with dispatcher regarding any issues or delays.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any mechanical issues.

Skills

• Proficient in operating commercial vehicles with manual transmission.
• Experience in route driving with a strong understanding of navigation systems.
• Ability to assist in loading and unloading cargo, assure proper load securement and breakdown of side kits, and handle tarping.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to transportation and delivery services.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining delivery records.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred but not mandatory.
