Job summary

Bryan Truck Line in Michigan is seeking a dedicated Truck Driver to deliver brass and copper rod on a regional flatbed fleet. You will operate flatbeds, perform pre-trip checks, load/unload cargo with securement, and maintain delivery records.

This full-time role pays a percentage of the load and requires strong safety, punctuality, and customer service. Candidates must have a Class A CDL and at least 1 year of driving experience, with relocation to the Montpelier area considered if needed;

Qualifications

• CDL Class A driving with at least 1 year of experience.
• Experience operating flatbeds with tarps and side kits preferred.
• Knowledge of load securement, safety protocols, and DOT regulations.

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team flatbed team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting brass & copper rod on a flatbed trailer, with tarps and side kits and scrap back. This position pays a percentage of the load. Responsibilities

• Operate truck and pull flatbed trailers, with side-kits and tarps.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of goods, strapping and securement.
• Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
• Communicate effectively with dispatcher regarding any issues or delays.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any mechanical issues.

Skills

• Proficient in operating commercial vehicles with manual transmission.
• Experience in route driving with a strong understanding of navigation systems.
• Ability to assist in loading and unloading cargo, assure proper load securement and breakdown of side kits, and handle tarping.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to transportation and delivery services.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining delivery records.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred but not mandatory.
