Job summary

Bryan Truck Line in Ohio is seeking a dedicated Truck Driver for flatbed deliveries, transporting brass and copper rod with tarps and side kits. The role is full-time and pays a percentage of the load.

You will perform pre-trip inspections, secure loads, and maintain delivery records while complying with all regulations. CDL Class A is required, with at least 1 year of experience, and relocation to Montpelier, OH is expected before starting.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A driving certification required.
• 1 year CDL experience preferred.
• Flatbed trailer experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck and pull flatbed trailers with side-kits and tarps.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting brass & copper rod on a flatbed trailer, with tarps and side kits and scrap back. This position pays a percentage of the load. Responsibilities

• Operate truck and pull flatbed trailers, with side-kits and tarps.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of goods, strapping and securement.
• Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
• Communicate effectively with dispatcher regarding any issues or delays.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any mechanical issues.

Skills

• Proficient in operating commercial vehicles with manual transmission.
• Experience in route driving with a strong understanding of navigation systems.
• Ability to assist in loading and unloading cargo, assure proper load securement and breakdown of side kits, and handle tarping.
