Job summary

BRYAN TRUCK LINE is seeking an experienced Truck Driver to join our flatbed team in Ohio. You will transport brass & copper rod on a flatbed trailer, with tarps and side kits and scrap back.

This role pays a percentage of the load, with a strong emphasis on safety, punctuality, and customer service as you represent the company at deliveries. Responsibilities include pre-trip inspections, securement, on-time navigation of regional routes, accurate records, and compliance with all transportation

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid CDL Class A license and drive in a regional capacity.
• Experience with load securement, tarps, and side kits on flatbeds.
• Proven safety record and ability to maintain delivery logs.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck and pull flatbed trailers with tarps and side-kits.
• Perform pre-trip inspections for safety and regulatory compliance.
• Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing of goods.
• Navigate routes efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate truck and pull flatbed trailers, with side-kits and tarps.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
• Safely load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling of goods, strapping and securement.
• Navigate assigned routes efficiently while adhering to delivery schedules.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage and fuel usage.
• Communicate effectively with dispatcher regarding any issues or delays.
• Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance checks on the vehicle and report any mechanical issues.

Skills

• Proficient in operating commercial vehicles with manual transmission.
• Experience in route driving with a strong understanding of navigation systems.
• Ability to assist in loading and unloading cargo, assure proper load securement and breakdown of side kits, and handle tarping.
• Knowledge of safety protocols related to transportation and delivery services.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for maintaining delivery records.
• Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members effectively.
• Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred but not mandatory.
