U.S. Bank is seeking a Credit Fixed Income Middle Office Associate to provide day-to-day middle office support for secondary trading and sales activities.

The role requires deep knowledge of the complete trade lifecycle and precision in processing, allocations, and settlement. You will collaborate with Trading, Sales, Operations, Finance, Technology, and external counterparties to ensure accurate processing and timely settlement of fixed income transactions, with emphasis on accuracy and process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• 3–5 years of experience in capital markets, fixed income trading support, middle office, or a related financial services environment.
• Experience with Bloomberg or similar trade entry platforms.
• Understanding of fixed income products and trade lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Support the post-trade processing lifecycle for Fixed Income Credit transactions from execution through settlement.
• Serve as a primary point of contact between trading, sales, operations, finance, and external counterparties.
• Monitor and resolve trade exceptions, settlement discrepancies, and reconciliation breaks in a timely manner.
• Validate trade allocations, trade economics, and position accuracy across internal systems.
• Assist with daily P&L reconciliation and reporting processes.
• Support new issue syndicate transactions, including allocations and settlement coordination.
• Participate in the development and enhancement of operational controls, procedures, and process improvements.
• Identify operational risks and elevate issues appropriately to management.
• Contribute to strategic initiatives focused on automation, scalability, and operating efficiency.
• Maintain a strong control environment while delivering a high level of service to both internal and external stakeholders.
