Job summary

Excel Fitness is seeking a hands-on Team Leader to support the General Manager and Assistant Manager in a busy club environment. You will guide and train up to six Team Players, uphold Excel standards, and ensure exceptional member service and club presentation.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/AED certification required; training provided within 30 days if not certified.
• Must be comfortable standing for long periods.
• Proven ability to lead, encourage, develop, and supervise others.
• Strong communication with internal and external customers.
• Team-oriented, motivated and organized.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and using a computer.

Responsibilities

• Assist GM/AM in implementing member attraction/retention strategies.
• Train new Team Players and mentor on operational processes.
• Utilize performance trackers to meet metrics.
• Supervise and inspire Team Players to perform at their best.
• Maintain high levels of member service, cleanliness and atmosphere.
• Identify training needs and report findings to management.
• Conduct regular audits to ensure club meets Excel standards.
• Enforce policies; report infractions to management.
• Perform daily club inspections and assign tasks; re-inspect completed tasks.
• Oversee inventory and coordinate with GM/AM on orders.
• May oversee operations when GM/AM are unavailable.
• Proficient use of PFHQ and Excel platforms.
