Job summary

Plus One, an Optum company, is seeking a General Manager for a fitness center in Needham, MA. You will oversee all operations, staffing, revenue/expense targets, and marketing, while acting as the main liaison between the Company and the Client.

You will lead a team, drive member engagement, ensure superior service, and promote professional development among staff. CPR/AED and First Aid certs are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 2–3 years of management experience preferred.
• Ability to multi-task, manage time, solve problems, stay organized and follow up effectively.
• Ability to hire, coach, train and develop team members.
• Knowledge of budgeting, forecasting and strategic business planning.
• Experience in corporate fitness or spa settings is a plus.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certifications current.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and finance/payroll systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to set a motivating, engaging site culture.
• Implement programs and marketing to boost member engagement.
• Manage staffing, operations, revenue/expense goals and site marketing.
• Directly liaise between the Company and the Client; maintain high-level relationships.
• Offer timely, professional responses to member feedback and inquiries.
• Provide recurring reports to leadership and ensure gold-standard service and programming.
• Encourage staff development and enforce policies and procedures.
