Job summary

Arizona State University's College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean’s Office in Tempe seeks an enthusiastic Academic Success Advisor to support first-year students through advising, courses, and career readiness services.

Under supervision of an Assistant Director, you will mentor a cohort, conduct in-person and virtual meetings, help with degree progression, and connect students to tutoring, counseling, and resources; this role includes some evening/weekend events.

Qualifications

• Master's degree completed or in progress.
• Experience teaching coursework or leading workshops.
• Sensitivity to diverse student needs and populations.
• Knowledge of advising strategies and university resources.

Responsibilities

• Provide holistic advising to first-year students for successful transition.
• Teach first-year student success courses and advise those students.
• Guide degree progression, exploring majors/minors/certificates, and internships.
• Link students to tutoring, counseling, career services, and resources.
• Monitor progress using eAdvisor, DARS, Salesforce; support transfer students.
