Job summary

Arizona Western College seeks a part-time Student Advisor to provide advising, outreach, and wrap-around services across Guided Pathways and Appreciative Advising. The role emphasizes supporting student success through data-informed decisions and proactive engagement.

You will work up to 19 hours per week, with a flexible schedule to accommodate events and campus needs, and collaborate with admissions, financial aid, and student services to assist enrollment and retention efforts.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher.
• Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service, adapt to changing needs and circumstances, manage multiple priorities.
• Experience in advising, counseling, outreach, recruitment, student services, or a related field preferred.
• An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered.
• Applicants may indicate additional language proficiencies in their application materials, including English/Spanish, as relevant to the position

Responsibilities

• Provide academic and career advising using Appreciative Advising to help students set goals and plans.
• Conduct outreach to schools, community organizations, and partners to promote programs.
• Assist with admissions, registration, financial aid, and enrollment processes.
• Support workshops, orientations, and student success activities.
• Participate in college engagement events and assist with event preparation.
• Support strategic planning and other duties as assigned
