Job summary

Viking Electric in Minneapolis, MN is hiring a Warehouse Material Handler for the first shift (9:00am to 5:30pm, Monday–Friday). You will load/unload shipments, scan items, and prepare them for delivery while keeping the warehouse orderly and safe.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Lift/push/pull up to 50 lbs regularly, up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Able to stand and walk for long portions of shift.
• Basic math skills.
• Willingness to learn forklift and handheld scanning devices.
• Work in varying warehouse temperatures.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes safely using appropriate equipment.
• Count, check and record items entering or leaving the warehouse.
• Scan barcodes and labels to track inventory levels.
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize and route material for delivery or storage.
• Maintain product organization and prevent damage.
• Follow safety procedures to keep the warehouse secure.
