Job summary

Viking Electric in Minneapolis, MN seeks a Warehouse Material Handler to move products from our warehouse to customers, using forklifts and scanning devices to pick and prepare orders for on-time delivery.

You will operate equipment safely, count and record inventory, and keep the warehouse organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment with a supportive team. This full-time position includes benefits, potential overtime, and training opportunities within the Sonepar family.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Lift up to 50 lbs regularly, up to 75 lbs with assistive equipment or team members.
• Stand and walk for much of your shift.
• Basic math skills (add/subtract).
• Willingness to learn forklift and handheld scanning device (training provided).
• Authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes/materials safely using equipment.
• Count, check and record items arriving or leaving the warehouse.
• Use handheld scanner to track inventory levels.
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize and route material for delivery or storage.
• Help keep products safe from damage and organized.
