Job summary

Viking Electric, part of the Sonepar group, is hiring for a Warehouse Material Handler - Receiving in Minneapolis, MN. The role features a first shift from 6:00am to 2:00pm, full-time employment, and an hourly rate of $21.00 to $26.00.

As a warehouse associate, you will help move products from the warehouse to customers, using forklifts and scanners while upholding safety and accuracy. Comprehensive benefits are offered with opportunities for growth within Sonepar.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to lift, push, and pull objects weighing up to 50 lbs regularly, or up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Ability to stand and walk for much of the shift.
• Basic math skills (add and subtract numbers).
• Willingness to learn to operate equipment like a forklift and handheld scanning device.
• Ability to work in various temperatures within the warehouse.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes/materials safely with equipment; training provided.
• Count, check and record items entering or leaving the warehouse.
• Use a handheld device to scan barcodes and labels to track inventory levels.
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize and route material for delivery or storage.
• Keep products free from damage and organized.
• Follow procedures to maintain warehouse safety and security.
