Job summary

Viking Electric, part of the Sonepar family, is hiring a Warehouse Material Handler for Rochester, MN. This seasonal role supports order fulfillment by unloading/loading, scanning items, and preparing packages for delivery, with training provided for forklift and handheld devices.

You'll work 10:30am–6:00pm, Monday through Friday, through December, earning $21.00–$26.00 per hour plus a short-term incentive and full benefits. Join a team that values safety and customer service.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly (75 lbs with assistance).
• Ability to stand and walk during shift.
• Basic math skills.
• Willingness to operate forklift and handheld scanner (training provided).
• Able to work in warehouse temperatures.
• Authorized to work in the United States without VISA sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes/material in a safe manner using a forklift, pallet jack, handcart, reach trucks, or other device (no experience required - training provided).
• Count, check and record items coming into or being shipped out of the warehouse.
• Use a handheld device to scan barcodes and labels, allowing us to track inventory levels.
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize and route material for safe delivery or storage.
• Help keep products free from damage and organized.
• Follow and promote procedures that keep the warehouse safe and secure.
