Job summary

Viking Electric in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Warehouse Material Handler to join our logistics team. This full-time role supports order fulfillment by moving products from the warehouse to customers, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.

You will load/unload trucks using a forklift, scanbarcodes with handheld devices, and keep inventory organized and safe. We provide training, a first shift from 9:00am to 5:30pm, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly; up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods.
• Willingness to learn forklift operation and handheld scanning.
• Authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks and move boxes/material in a safe manner using a forklift, pallet jack, handcart, cherry pickers, walking riders, reach trucks, EZGo carts, or other device (no experience required - we provide training).
• Count, check and record items coming into or being shipped out of the warehouse.
• Use a handheld device to scan barcodes and labels, allowing us to track appropriate inventory levels.
• Assemble, package, label, stack, palletize and route material for safe delivery or storage.
• Help us keep products free from damage and organized.
• Follow and promote procedures that keep the warehouse safe and secure.
