Job summary

BandD Foods in Boise, Idaho is seeking a Production Supervisor for First Shift. You will lead daily production, ensure safety and quality, and collaborate with other departments to improve efficiency and regulatory compliance.

The role requires GMP, HACCP, and USDA awareness, 5+ years in food manufacturing, and 2+ years of supervision. You will mentor staff, manage schedules, and drive continuous-improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of experience in food processing or manufacturing.
• Minimum of two years of supervisory or team-leadership experience.
• Working knowledge of GMPs, food-safety requirements, and production technology.
• Ability to lead, coach, develop, and achieve results through others.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexibility to support second shift and other operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily leadership, direction, and supervision to assigned production employees.
• Motivate, train, coach, and communicate effectively with shift employees to achieve safety, quality, sanitation, reliability, and productivity.
• Ensure performance meets or exceeds established goals and expectations.
• Develop expert knowledge of production processes and equipment.
• Troubleshoot production and equipment issues and develop staff to resolve problems independently.
• Maintain urgency during production runs and downtime.
• Communicate issues to maintenance and management promptly.
• Establish training procedures and action plans to strengthen job knowledge and skills.
• Ensure compliance with policies, SOPs, food-safety requirements, and finished-product specs.
• Lead continuous-improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and waste reduction.
• Coordinate with Production Department Manager and Supply Chain Manager on schedules.
• Monitor sanitation activities to meet USDA requirements.
