Job summary

A premier North American die casting facility in Cedarburg, WI seeks a Furnace Melt Operator for 1st shift. You will tap, charge, skim, and sample molten metal to ensure alloy quality for high-pressure aluminum die-casting.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated stability with 2+ years at each prior employer.
• Experience operating industrial furnaces or in a heavy foundry/melt environment.
• Basic mechanical proficiency and ability to operate handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain industrial melting furnaces per melt specs.
• Charge raw materials and skim impurities to maintain alloy quality.
• Pull lab samples and document results for quality verification.
• Perform routine furnace maintenance and equipment troubleshooting.
• Operate forklifts and hoists to move ingots and containers.
• Record daily production data, attend to safety and 5S standards.
