Job summary

A premier North American die casting manufacturer is hiring a Furnace Melt Operator for 1st shift in Cedarburg, WI. This direct-hire role focuses on tapping, charging, skimming furnaces, and supplying molten metal to high-pressure aluminum die-casting cells.

Daily responsibilities include loading furnaces, maintaining melt specs, sampling for lab analysis, and performing basic maintenance. Excellent benefits, stability, and long-term career development await in a strong, ISO-certified

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years at each previous employer.
• Experience operating industrial furnaces or heavy foundry/melt operations.
• Ability to weigh and count materials and operate handling equipment.
• Must reside within a 45-minute commute of Cedarburg, WI.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Set up, load, and operate industrial melting furnaces with ingots, sows, and scrap.
• Tap furnaces, skim impurities, and maintain temperature and cleanliness.
• Pull and label samples for lab analysis and alloy verification.
• Perform basic furnace maintenance and troubleshoot equipment.
• Operate forklifts/hoists to move ingots and finished product.
• Record production data and ensure accurate attendance and quality logs.
• Follow OSHA safety rules, Lockout/Tagout, PPE, and 5S standards.
