Job summary

Modern Machining Solutions Inc in Cedarburg, Wisconsin is seeking a Furnace Melt Operator for the 1st shift to support high‑pressure aluminum die casting operations. You will load, tap, skim, and sample molten metal, maintaining strict temperature and quality standards.

This direct‑hire role offers competitive hourly pay up to $31.00/hr, a daytime schedule (6:00 AM – 2:15 PM), 401(k) with company match, health/dental benefits, and bonus PTO opportunities for strong attendance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years tenure at each previous employer.
• Experience operating industrial furnaces and metal melting in a foundry/heavy manufacturing setting.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment.
• Must reside within a 45-minute commute of Cedarburg, WI.
• High School Diploma or GED; US work authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Operate, charge, and set up industrial melting furnaces with raw ingot, sows, and internal scrap.
• Tap furnaces and skim impurities while maintaining temperature and cleanliness.
• Pull samples for lab analysis and alloy verification.
• Perform basic furnace maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Operate powered industrial forklift trucks and overhead hoists to move materials.
• Count, weigh, and record production on logs and reports.
• Follow OSHA safety rules and 5S standards.
