Job summary

United Future in Cedarburg, WI seeks a Furnace Melt Operator for 1st shift (6:00 AM - 2:15 PM). This direct-hire role pays up to $31.00/hr ($64,480/yr) with bonus opportunities, 401(k) match, full benefits, and overtime potential.

You will operate and maintain furnaces, charge materials, skim, and sample for alloy quality. Requirements include 2+ years at prior employers, heavy manufacturing melt experience, and a 45-minute commute within the Cedarburg area.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in a foundry or heavy manufacturing melt/furnace operations.
• Solid mechanical aptitude and basic math for weighing/counting.
• Ability to operate material handling equipment and perform basic maintenance tasks.

Responsibilities

• Operate and charge industrial melting furnaces with ingots, sows, and scrap.
• Tap and skim molten metal to keep quality and temperature control.
• Pull lab samples and coordinate with metallurgy lab for analysis.
