Job summary

AdvanSix in Virginia is seeking a First Line Supervisor to lead hourly teams and drive safety, quality and productivity across a 10–20 person department. You will supervise direct reports, manage budgets per the bargaining agreement, and push continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced chemical plant environment.

Required are a high school diploma (technical degree preferred), 2–5 years of relevant experience, and supervisory background.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical/related degree preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing/chemical plant environments.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise direct reports to ensure tasks meet safety, quality, and productivity goals.
• Plan procedures and budgets in line with collective bargaining agreements.
• Lead problem solving and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage 10–20 employee department, enforcing standard work and safety rules.
• Coordinate daily with shifts and peers on productivity, safety and quality.
