Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Firearms Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and expert guidance in firearms and related accessories. You will engage customers, explain product features, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws while maintaining safe handling practices.

You will also assist with ammunition and accessories, manage displays, process transactions, and participate in training to stay current on trends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; firearms safety training a plus.
• Experience in firearms sales or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local firearms regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create a welcoming atmosphere in the firearms department.
• Engage customers to assess needs, preferences and budget.
• Provide expert guidance and unbiased product recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with firearms laws and safety practices.
• Complete required firearms compliance training and SOPs.
• Assist customers in selecting ammunition, accessories and related products.
• Maintain an organized firearms display with accurate labeling and pricing.
• Process transactions accurately and handle documentation.
• Stay updated on current firearm models and industry news.
• Listen to customer concerns and resolve issues or escalate as needed.
• Build long-term relationships to generate repeat business and referrals.
• Demonstrate product features and conduct demonstrations when necessary.
• Use upselling and cross-selling techniques to increase sales.
• Promote RKFPPP and store loyalty program.
