Job summary

Rural King is seeking a Firearms Sales Associate to provide exceptional customer service and expert guidance in firearms and related accessories. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, maintain displays, and help customers select ammunition and gear.

The role emphasizes product knowledge, safety training, and the ability to upsell and build lasting relationships with shoppers across our rural communities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; firearms safety training is a plus.
• Previous firearms sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local firearms laws and transfers.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create a welcoming atmosphere in the firearms department.
• Engage customers to understand needs and provide product recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with all firearms laws and regulations.
• Complete firearms compliance training and understand SOPs.
• Assist customers with selecting ammunition and accessories.
• Maintain organized firearms displays with accurate labeling and pricing.
• Process transactions accurately at the POS and manage documentation.
• Stay updated on firearm models, trends, and industry news.
• Provide friendly, proactive internal and external support and resolve issues promptly.
