Job summary

Rural King is hiring a Firearms Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and expert guidance in firearms and related accessories. You will ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, assist customers with ammunition and accessories, and maintain organized, accurately labeled displays in a safety‑conscious environment.

You will engage customers, understand their needs and budgets, demonstrate product features, and provide unbiased recommendations while processing

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior firearms sales experience preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local firearms laws and transfers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to listen, ask questions, and provide clear responses.
• Detail oriented with high accuracy in processing transactions.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and set a welcoming tone in the firearms department.
• Engage customers to understand needs and budget.
• Provide expert guidance and unbiased product recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with firearms laws and SOPs.
• Assist with ammunition and accessory selections.
• Maintain organized firearms displays with accurate labeling and pricing.
• Process transactions accurately at the POS and complete required documentation.
• Stay informed on firearms trends and industry developments.
• Deliver excellent customer service and resolve issues promptly.
• Develop long-term relationships to generate repeat business and referrals.
• Demonstrate product features and conduct demonstrations as needed.
• Upsell and promote RKFPPP and store loyalty programs.
• Support visual merchandising and store cleanliness during downtime.
