Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; firearms safety training is a plus.
• Experience in firearms sales or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding firearms sales and transfers.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; engage customers effectively.
• Detail-oriented with organizational skills and ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create a welcoming atmosphere in the firearms area.
• Engage customers to understand needs and budget, and provide product recommendations.
• Provide expert guidance and unbiased product recommendations based on customer needs.
• Ensure compliance with firearms laws and regulations; complete required training.
• Assist customers in selecting ammunition, accessories, and related products.
• Maintain organized, labeled, and priced firearm displays; accurate transactions.
• Stay updated on firearm trends, models, and industry news.
• Address customer questions or issues and escalate when needed.
• Build long-term relationships for repeat business and referrals.
• Demonstrate product features and benefits; conduct demonstrations as needed.
• Utilize upselling and cross-selling techniques to increase sales.
