Rural King is seeking a Firearms Sales Associate to deliver exceptional customer service and firearm expertise. You will greet customers, assess needs, and provide unbiased guidance on firearms and accessories while ensuring safety and compliance with all regulations.

Maintain attractive displays, process transactions, and stay updated on industry trends. The role emphasizes upselling, loyalty programs, and contributing to a positive, safe shopping environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (required or preferred).
• Previous experience in firearms sales or related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local firearms laws/regulations.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for customer engagement.
• Detail-oriented with proficiency in computer systems and transactions.
• Commitment to safety, confidentiality and professional conduct.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and create a welcoming atmosphere in the department.
• Assess customer needs and provide expert product recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with all firearms laws and internal SOPs.
• Assist customers with ammunition, accessories and related products.
• Maintain organized, labeled, and priced firearms displays.
• Process transactions accurately and handle payments and records.
• Stay informed on product trends and perform product demonstrations when needed.
• Upsell and promote RKFPPP and loyalty programs.
• Maintain store appearance and support cross-training across departments.
