Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Firearms Inventory Specialist to oversee firearms issuance, retrieval, and storage across regions. The role is hybrid and involves travel between local branches to ensure compliance with ATF/state laws and internal standards.

You will support Weapons Compliance Managers, manage firearm acquisition/disposition, and handle licensing/registration processes while maintaining strict adherence to safety and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent or five years of verifiable work history.
• Licensing requirements may be required by state/local laws.
• Must possess or be able to acquire NRA Home Firearms Safety Course (4hrs) - Live, Instructor-Led certification.
• Experience with firearms handling and/or maintenance.
• Minimum two years in security business operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with leadership at all levels.
• Strong training ability and documentation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google applications.
• Strong problem solving and listening skills.
• Ability to interpret data and stay compliant with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Ensure ATF compliance processes meet Federal, State, and local laws through inspections and paperwork analysis.
• Support compliance inquiries related to firearm acquisition, disposition, and transfer scenarios.
• Manage administrative duties and electronic systems for firearm transfers and ATF/state forms.
• Assist with regulatory investigations involving firearms.
• Guide risk mitigation for licensed locations and respond to regulatory changes.
• Develop internal auditing processes and collaborate with branch leadership to stay compliant.
• Provide recommendations and create guidance materials to resolve deficiencies.
• Help train branch personnel on firearms compliance and procedures.
