Allied Universal is seeking a Firearms Inventory Specialist to oversee firearms issuance, retrieval, and storage across regions. The hybrid role will require travel between local branches and collaboration with Weapons Compliance Managers.

The position ensures ATF/state compliance, handles firearms acquisition and disposition paperwork, and supports training materials for branch personnel. Residency in Reston, Alexandria, or DC area is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent or five years of verifiable work history.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment per state/local laws.
• Must possess, or be able to acquire, NRA Home Firearms Safety Course (4hrs) - Live, Instructor-Led certification.
• Prior work or educational experience involving care and maintenance of firearms.
• Minimum of two years of experience in a security business operations.
• Demonstrated highest adherence to ethics.
• Able to work and communicate with all levels of leadership.
• Demonstrated training ability.
• Effective oral and written communication skills; interpersonal and networking skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Google Applications.
• Problem solving and active listening skills.
• Ability to synthesize facts, concepts, principles; identify critical issues quickly and accurately.

Responsabilités

• Ensure firearms ATF compliance processes adhere to Federal, State and Local laws; coordinate detailed inspections.
• Support compliance questions related to firearm acquisition, disposition, and transfer.
• Perform administrative duties and oversee electronic systems for transfer paperwork.
• Assist with regulatory and Law Enforcement-related firearms investigations.
• Provide guidance on risk mitigation for licensed locations.
• Stay current with firearms-related laws and regulations.
• Develop and implement internal auditing processes for branches.
• Provide expert recommendations and guidance materials to resolve deficiencies.
• Contribute to training materials for branch personnel.
