Johnson Controls, Inc. is hiring a Fire Suppression Service Technician 3 in Fresno, CA to service and repair portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems and suppression gas systems at customer sites.

You'll read blueprints, diagrams and manuals, and coordinate daily service calls with customers. The role requires strong communication, problem-solving and PC skills (Windows, Excel, Word, Outlook); valid US driver license; and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Outstanding customer-facing service and problem-solving skills.
• PC skills including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Word, and Outlook (preferred).
• Manufacturer certifications such as ANSUL, Kiddie PyroChem are pluses.
• Valid US driver's license.

What you will do

Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems in addition to other related building system products at customer sites. Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals. Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products.

How you will do it

• Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Performs inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirements.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $24.23 - $33.31 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
