Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a field service technician to perform service and repairs on portable fire extinguishers, kitchen hood systems and suppression gas systems at customer sites. You will read blueprints, diagrams, submittals and manuals to install and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring safety and reliability.

Strong communication, problem-solving and PC skills are required, along with a valid US drivers license. Manufacturer certifications (ANSUL, Kiddie PyroChem) are a plus.

What You Will Do

Perform service and repairs on Portable Fire Extinguishers, Kitchen Hood Systems & Suppression Gas Systems in addition to other related building system products at customer sites. Service, troubleshoot and install many different manufacturers including Simplex and ANSUL. Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics and operational product manuals. Manage daily service call, customer activity and program system products.

How You Will Do It

• Assist customers with all questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Participation in an on-call rotation for Emergency Service.
• Performs inspections of Suppression Gas Systems based on contract requirements.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $16.30- 31.73 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
