Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced sprinkler service technician to handle field service calls and complete repairs on fire suppression systems across commercial, industrial and residential settings. You will diagnose issues, read blueprints, and perform repairs per manuals while maintaining a strong safety and customer-service mindset.

The role requires 3–5 years in the fire sprinkler field, a valid driver’s license, weekend availability, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Qualifications

3-5 years of documented experience in fire sprinkler service and repair.
High School Diploma or equivalent required.
Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
Overnight travel may be required.
Maintain truck inventory and safety procedures at all times.
Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
Capable of physical labor up to 70 lbs and climbing ladders or confined spaces.

Responsibilities

Receive service calls and determine equipment and systems problems.
Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial and residential applications.
Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and specifications.
Follow troubleshooting procedures and reference manuals to diagnose and repair equipment.
Demonstrate strong customer service and work independently when needed.
