Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in fire sprinkler solutions and building systems, is seeking a service technician to diagnose and repair sprinkler systems across commercial, industrial, and residential settings. You will interpret blueprints and manuals, communicate with customers, and participate in on-call rotations.

Qualified candidates have 2+ years in fire suppression, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2+ years of Fire Sprinkler experience or similar role.
Willingness to travel and work on-site.
Physical ability to lift 50–70 lbs and perform demanding tasks.
Able to climb ladders, scaffolding, and narrow spaces.
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
Pass pre-employment background and drug test.

Responsibilities

Receive service calls from the Resource Center and assess issues.
Contact customer representative to identify problems.
Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial/industrial/residential sites.
Read blueprints, submittals, and operation manuals for diagnostics.
Maintain strong customer communication to ensure satisfaction.
Join on-call rotation and complete service acknowledgements.
