Job summary

Johnson Controls, a global leader in building systems, is seeking a Fire Sprinkler Technician to service and repair sprinkler systems across commercial, industrial and residential sites. You will diagnose problems, read blueprints, and perform repairs while delivering strong customer service.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of documented experience in Fire Sprinkler industry.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends.
• Overnight travel may be required.
• Must maintain truck inventory to ensure timely response to customer needs.
• Must adhere to safety guidelines and procedures at all times.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.
• Follow verbal and written instructions.
• Capable of performing physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
• Able to work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding and high lift equipment up to 60 feet.
• Must be able to follow, read and understand all safety requirements of the company and the customer.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls from Service Resource Center and determine equipment problems.
• Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems for commercial, industrial and residential applications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications software/systems, programs, schematics and manuals.
• Demonstrate high level of customer service and the ability to learn quickly.
• Must be able to work alone.
