Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Sprinkler Service Technician to respond to service calls, diagnose issues, and perform repairs on sprinkler and fire suppression systems across commercial, industrial, and residential settings.

The role requires hands-on troubleshooting, safe work practices, and the ability to read blueprints and manuals. A valid driver’s license and the physical ability to lift 50–70 lbs are required, with travel and on-call rotations as needed.

Qualifications

• Respond to service calls and diagnose issues on sprinkler and fire suppression systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, and manuals.
• Must be able to carry and move equipment and tools up to 50–70 lbs.
• Willingness to travel overnight as required and participate in on-call rotation.
• Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls and review reported equipment or system malfunction.
• Perform service and repairs on sprinkler systems (wet/dry, etc.) including various configurations.
• Follow troubleshooting procedures and use manuals and specs to diagnose and repair equipment.
• Document work accurately and obtain customer signature.
• Maintain truck inventory and respond promptly to service requests.
