Job summary

S.A. Comunale is seeking a sprinkler designer to draft NFPA-compliant sprinkler drawings and coordinate with trades on complex projects. You will estimate design hours, prepare submittals, and ensure project paperwork is complete. The role may involve mentoring trainees and reporting progress to management.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
3+ years of fire protection design experience.
Engineering background is a plus.
Mechanical aptitude is required.
Proficiency in Hydratec CAD or AutoSPRINK is required.
NICET Certification is a plus.
Ability to conduct a field survey to obtain measurements.
Ability to travel to job sites.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

Create sprinkler designs in NFPA-compliant drawings.
Coordinate with other trades on complex projects.
Estimate design hours and manage project paperwork.
Lead and mentor Trainees and Junior Designers.
Report project status to the Manager.
