Job summary

S.A. Comunale is seeking a sprinkler design professional to provide high-quality design work within NFPA standards. You will produce drawings and calculations in coordination with Design staff, ensuring compliance with project requirements and budgets.

The role involves collaborating with other trades, estimating design hours, and maintaining clear documentation. Proficiency with Hydratec CAD or AutoSPRINK is expected, and some travel to job sites will be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of fire protection design experience is required.
• Engineering background is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude is required.
• Proficiency in Hydratec CAD or AutoSPRINK is required.
• NICET Certification is a plus.
• Ability to travel to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Design sprinkler drawings per NFPA standards and project scope.
• Coordinate pipe drawing, hangers, and sprinkler components for complex projects.
• Estimate design hours and schedule design work to meet deadlines.
• Coordinate with other trades and resolve coordination issues.
• Prepare project paperwork, test papers, permits, and submittals.
• Mentor Trainees and Junior Designers in responsibilities.
