Job summary

S.A. Comunale Co. is seeking a sprinkler design professional to deliver compliant sprinkler drawings under NFPA standards using Hydratec CAD or AutoSPRINK. You will identify building types, select protection measures, and coordinate with multiple trades on complex projects.

You will also estimate design hours, develop project paperwork, and ensure timely, accurate submittals while maintaining safety and quality across Ohio markets.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of fire protection design experience is required.
• Engineering background is a plus.
• Proficiency in Hydratec CAD programs or AutoSPRINK is required.
• NICET Certification is a plus.
• Ability to conduct a field survey to obtain dimensions and information is required.
• Ability to travel to job sites by plane or vehicle is required.

Responsibilities

• Produce sprinkler drawings per NFPA standards and project specs.
• Identify building construction type and hazard type for protection.
• Coordinate with other trades to ensure project success.
• Estimate and schedule design hours for a project.
• Ensure drawings, hydraulic calculations, and submittals meet quality standards.
• Provide regular status reports to the Manager.
