Job summary

S.A. Comunale Co. is seeking a Fire Protection Design professional to draft sprinkler designs per NFPA standards and coordinate with trades on non-complex projects. You will operate AutoCAD, prepare material submittals, and lead project activities under the Service Manager’s guidance.

Applicants should have 2+ years in Fire Protection design, a high school diploma or GED, and strong communication and organizational skills. Engineering background is a plus; NICET certification is advantageous.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years of experience in Fire Protection design is required.
• Engineering background is a plus.
• Some mechanical aptitude is required.
• NICET Certification is a plus.
• Demonstration of a positive attitude and ability to think strategically is required.
• Ability to build positive relationships with multiple levels of staff.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Complete sprinkler drawings per NFPA standards.
• Identify building construction types per NFPA standards.
• Coordinate with other trades on non-complex projects.
• Operate AutoCAD and related tools for design.
• Prepare material submittals and coordinate orders.
• Lead project efforts and provide status updates to the Service Manager.
• Ensure drawings, hydraulic calculations, and submittals meet industry standards.
• Work within project budgets and meet deadlines.
• Perform field surveys to collect dimensions and information.
