Job summary

S.A. Comunale Co., Inc. is seeking a skilled Design professional to craft sprinkler designs and drawings in accordance with NFPA and project standards.

You will work with a team to deliver accurate hydraulic calculations, material take-offs, and submittals for diverse client sites. The role requires 3+ years in fire protection design, proficiency with Hydratec CAD or AutoSPRINK, and the ability to travel to job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 3+ years of fire protection design experience is required.
• Engineering background is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude is required.
• Proficiency in Hydratec CAD or AutoSPRINK is required.
• NICET Certification is a plus.
• Ability to conduct a field survey alone or with others to obtain all proper dimensions and information is required.
• Ability to travel to job sites by plane or vehicle required.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to customers alongside other Design staff members.
• Create and draft sprinkler designs within NFPA and other standards.
• Complete design work mastering sprinkler drawing, hydraulic calculations, and material take-offs.
• Coordinate work with other trades on complex and non-complex projects.
• Estimate and schedule design hours for a project and maintain project paperwork.
• Meet industry quality standards and communicate progress to Manager.
