The role involves coordinating with trades, estimating design hours, and producing clear project documentation. A strong knowledge of AutoCAD/AutoSPRINK and Hydratec CAD is required.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of NFPA codes and sprinkler design.
• Experience in fire protection design and project coordination.
• NICET certification is a plus; engineering background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce sprinkler drawings aligned with NFPA standards.
• Identify building types and hazard classifications for protection.
• Coordinate designs with other trades and maintain project budgets.
• Estimate design hours and prepare required project paperwork.
• Create hydraulic calculations and material takeoffs for submittals.
• Mentor trainees and junior designers as needed.
