Job summary

S.A. Comunale seeks a Fire Protection/Mechanical Designer to draft sprinkler designs in compliance with NFPA and related standards. You will work with Design staff to translate customer needs into precise drawings and ensure accuracy in layouts and calculations.

You will develop hydraulic calculations, coordinate with other trades, and assist in project leadership as needed, while gaining proficiency in Hydratec AutoCAD and AutoSPRINK, and maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of fire protection design experience.
• Engineering background is a plus.
• Proficiency with Hydratec CAD or AutoSPRINK required.

Responsibilities

• Draw sprinkler designs per NFPA standards.
• Identify building construction types per NFPA guidance.
• Coordinate with other trades on complex projects.
• Estimate and schedule design hours for a project.
• Produce drawings, hydraulic calculations, material takeoffs, and submittals.
