Johnson Controls is seeking a Fire Service Supervisor to lead a field team of technicians across the Indianapolis area. You will oversee scheduling, dispatch, customer engagement, and operational oversight to drive service performance and growth.

You will coach, mentor, and develop staff while maintaining safety and meeting service commitments. Expect field-based work, cross-functional collaboration, and focus on quality and profitability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of leadership experience in field service, maintenance, or a technical environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.
• Excellent communication, coaching, negotiation, and conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Proficiency with scheduling systems, data reporting, and basic analytics tools.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to travel locally.
• Ability to work in field environments including customer sites and plants.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of field service technicians with performance reviews and mentorship.
• Plan, prioritize, and dispatch service calls to ensure on-time arrival and first-time fix.
• Build strong customer relationships and identify opportunities to grow service business.
• Promote safety culture through training, analysis, and policy adherence.
• Monitor service metrics and drive continuous improvement actions.
• Ensure accuracy of service documentation and reporting including parts usage.
• Manage resources to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support profitability.
• Collaborate with sales, installation, engineering, and operations to resolve escalations.
• Support hiring, onboarding, and development of technicians.
