Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking inspectors to inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems, pumps, and backflows with minimal supervision. The role requires adhering to NFPA codes and working with a team across multiple sites.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience, HS diploma, and NICET or state certification as applicable by location. Proficiency with Salesforce and MS Office is a plus. Occasional travel and on-call duties are involved.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• NICET and/or state certification required based on location, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain fire protection systems in accordance with NFPA codes.
• Record and report deficiencies to SFS and customers.
• Communicate with customers and monitoring companies professionally.
• Operate tools for inspections (detectors, backflow kit, pump equipment).
• Coordinate inspections and respond to on-call emergencies as needed.
• Ensure vehicles and tools are maintained and safe.
• Follow safety programs and participate in toolbox talks; assist in training inspector trainees.
