Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking inspectors to inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems, pumps, and backflows with minimal supervision. The role involves documentation, communicating with customers, and on-call duties. Proficiency with NFPA codes and safety policies is required.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of experience in fire protection inspections, with NICET or state certification preferred. Valid driver's license and ability to travel locally are expected.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience inspecting fire protection systems; 5+ years preferred.
• Must work independently and in a team; strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
• Fluent English reading/writing; ability to train others.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain fire protection systems per NFPA codes.
• Record and report deficiencies to SFS and customers.
• Communicate with customers and monitoring companies professionally.
• Coordinate inspections and respond to on-call emergencies.
• Train inspector trainees in applicable areas.
• Ensure tools and vehicle are maintained; follow safety programs.
• Attend seminars to stay updated on technology and testing approaches.
