Job summary

Summit Fire & Security is seeking an Inspector to inspect, test, and maintain fire sprinkler systems, pumps, and backflows with minimal supervision. The role requires attention to safety, documentation of deficiencies, and clear communication with customers.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience in inspecting fire protection systems, HS Diploma, and NICET certification where required. Travel, on-call duties, and training responsibilities are part of the position.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• NICET and/or state certification is required based on location, preferred.
• Experience measuring and inspecting fire protection systems per NFPA codes.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain fire protection systems in accordance with NFPA codes.
• Record and report deficiencies of fire protection systems to SFS and customers.
• Communicate with customers professionally.
• Operate tools for inspections (detectors, backflow, pumps).
• Plan and complete inspections as scheduled.
• On-call status as required by location.
• Maintain company vehicle and tools.
