Job summary

Summit Fire & Security in New York conducts inspections, testing, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems, pumps and backflows with minimal supervision. You will inspect per NFPA codes, record deficiencies, and coordinate scheduled inspections while remaining on-call as required.

Applicants should have 3–5 years of experience inspecting fire protection systems, a HS diploma, and NICET or state certification as applicable. Proficiency with Salesforce and MS Office is preferred.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent, required.
• NICET and/or state certification required based on location.
• 3-5 years’ experience inspecting fire protection systems; 5+ years preferred.
• Must read/write/communicate in English.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain fire protection systems in NFPA-compliant manner.
• Record and report deficiencies to SFS and customers.
• Communicate professionally with customers and monitoring companies.
• Use and maintain inspection tools and equipment.
• Coordinate and complete inspections as scheduled; participate in on-call duties.
• Safeguard tools and maintain company vehicle and safety documentation.
• Train inspector trainees and participate in safety programs.
