Job summary

Summit Fire & Security in Fort Myers, FL is seeking an Inspector to inspect, test, and maintain fire protection systems in accordance with NFPA codes. The role requires working with sprinkler controls, alarm panels and related equipment, with minimal supervision.

Candidates should have a HS diploma and NICET certification where required, 3–5 years of experience, strong math and problem solving, a valid driver's license, and ability to train others.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• NICET and/or state certification required based on location.
• 3–5 years’ experience inspecting fire protection systems; 5+ years preferred.
• Must be able to work independently or in a team and train others.
• Strong math, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain fire protection systems per NFPA codes.
• Record and report deficiencies to SFS and customers.
• Communicate with customers and monitoring companies professionally.
• Plan, coordinate, and complete inspections on schedule.
• Assist and train inspector trainees as needed.
