Job summary

IMEG is hiring a Fire Protection New Graduate in Des Moines, Iowa. This entry-level role offers hands-on design and analysis experience with mentorship, training, and opportunities to grow your expertise from day one.

You will assist with fire protection system design, analysis, and implementation oversight across buildings, while supporting project planning, quality control, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• BS degree in fire protection or related engineering field.
• Prior internship in building design consulting preferred.
• EIT license preferred.
• NICET Level I or II cert preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist design and analysis of fire protection systems per codes.
• Interact with clients to gather requirements and communicate technical info.
• Support project planning and scheduling to meet deadlines.
• Document design decisions and client instructions.
• Analyze low to medium complexity tasks and propose solutions.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to develop practical solutions.
• Participate in quality control to meet IMEG standards.
• Stay updated on industry trends and contribute to R&D.
• Prioritize safety in all engineering work.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated solutions.
