Job summary

Accura Engineering seeks a Fire Protection Engineer for Fort Worth, TX. The role focuses on fire protection for federal construction projects, ensuring compliance with UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards, and serving as a SME on fire/life safety systems.

Responsibilities include design reviews, inspections, submittal reviews, acceptance testing, and coordination with project teams through all construction phases.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum five years of fire protection engineering experience.
• Familiarity with UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards.
• USACE or federal project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Understand and apply UFC 3-600-01 and NFPA standards in project design.
• Attend meetings and coordinate with stakeholders for fire protection features.
• Perform design reviews, inspections, and submittal reviews.
• Conduct acceptance testing and QA/QC across the project lifecycle.
• Provide technical guidance on facility design and fire protection systems.
• Review RFIs and contractor submittals and provide comments.
